Webwinkelkeurmerk is an independent trust mark for online shops, certifying compliance with European consumer law. Shops are vetted before admission and remain under ongoing supervision.

Vetted before admission

Every shop is reviewed against European distance-selling rules: transparent pricing, fair terms, the 14-day right of withdrawal and secure payment.

Ongoing supervision

Certification is not a one-off. Member shops are re-examined when the law or the shop changes; shops that fall short lose the seal.

Free mediation

If an order goes wrong, we mediate between consumer and shop free of charge for both sides.

For online shops

Membership costs a flat €5.95 per month, everything included: application and vetting are free, legal guidance and mediation come at no extra charge, and you can cancel monthly. You only start paying once your shop has been approved and may carry the seal.

For consumers

Seen our seal on a shop? You can verify its membership free of charge: e-mail the shop's name or web address to info@webwinkelkeurmerk.eu and we will confirm whether it is certified. Complaints about a member shop can be submitted to the same address; we mediate at no cost.
